Announcing the 2025 Tomato Weekend Schedule
Tomato Weekend is less than a month out! A tradition at IL Fiorello for many years, Tomato Weekend is an opportunity to celebrate the tomato harvest with a variety of activities, meals, and drinks centered around everyone’s favorite fruit (yes- it’s a fruit, not a vegetable!). This year is no different, and we’re excited to host the community for a weekend to remember.
Schedule of Events
Thursday, August 14:
Taste of Tomatoes Coursed Dinner: Kick start the weekend – join us Thursday evening for an elegant coursed meal centered around our beautiful tomato crop. $100
Friday, August 15:
Tomato Mix-It Class & Happy Hour: Join IL Fiorello for charcuterie and enjoy Tomato Water Tinis, Bloody Mary’s, and more. Our bartenders will teach everyone in the class how to take a fresh tomato and make a beautiful cocktail. $45
Saturday, August 16:
Tomato Garden Tour & Farming Lesson: Join IL Fiorello Owner Ann Sievers and Farm Manager Nick Keintz for a tour of our tomatoes, and learn about important growing tips and tricks for your garden, including: trellising, managing, different varieties, etc. $25
Tomato Salsa Contest: We’re excited to host a salsa cooking competition to see who makes the best salsa in the region! There are two categories – one for children (12 and under) and one for adults (13+) $10 Entry
Sunday, August 17:
Tomatoes on Canvas: Draw & Sip in our pergola with our artist & Chef Ollie Raines. Flowers, tomatoes, olives, and vegetables. All materials will be supplied. $45
Tomato Tastings:
All weekend long, we will present a spread of dozens of tomatoes for an educational and tasty experience. Guests can taste IL Fiorello’s tomato varieties and then vote for which varieties our team will plant for the 2026 season.
Tomato Lunch Special:
We are excited to feature all things tomato for our weekend Chef’s Choice. Check back to see what our Kitchen in the Grove Bistro plans on cooking up! We’ll also be serving our main menu all weekend long.
