Apple Syrup

  • 5 small farm apples, chopped small and diced with skin on
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 0.5 cups of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 0.25 teaspoons of grated nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • A pinch of salt

Reduce in a small pot on high. Once boiling, turn to simmer until desired thickness. Result will be 0.25-0.5 cups.
